Duties/Responsibilities:
• Direct, supervise, lead and manage team to ensure operational efficiencies and excellent service to customers.
• Responsible for scheduling staff to cover shifts and delegate tasks to ensure materials are prepped
and ready for shipping schedule.
• Conduct employment interviews and work with HR to ensure departments are fully staffed.
• Ensure that each employee has the right training and skills for safe operation of equipment.
• Leads team in overall safety procedures and practices.
• Ensures production and quality KPIs are met.
• Ensures equipment repairs are reported accordingly to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and adhere to operations budget.
• Is the subject matter expert for Ferrous and Non Ferrous Operations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years knowledge of ferrous and non ferrous metals and scrap yard management.
• 5+ years production supervisory experience and customer service experience in a fast-paced
environment required.
• Excellent knowledge of operations, leadership, analytical, communication and computer skills.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems; deal with many
variables and determine a specific course of action.
• Forklift, skid steer and material handler experience.
